Recipe: Morning Tonic

This recipe makes enough for 3 serves

Apple cider vinegar helps alkalise the body and aids in stimulating the detoxification pathways. It has been shown to help reduce blood pressure and cholesterol, aid in weight loss and regulate blood sugar.

Lemon is also alkalising and filled with vitamin C. Cayenne pepper improves circulation and turmeric has anti-inflammatory effects.

Ingredients

6 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice

2 1/4 teaspoons apple cider (unpasteurised with mother)

3/4 teaspoons turmeric

Pinch cayenne

3 pinches cinnamon

Method

Place all the ingredients in a jar and shake well. 

Store in fridge

1 serve is 2 tablespoons.

You can either have it as a shot with a splash of hot water. Or fill the cup up to make into a warm, comforting drink.
